Community Easter Food Baskets: For our Easter mission project, we will be combining our efforts with several other churches in our community. Now through March 21, we will be collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items for those in need. If you know of a person or family in need of food, please contact the church by March 17 to get their name listed. The donations will be used to provide food items and a gift card to each of those in need. If you have questions, please see Gayle Knapp or Pastor Glenn. For monetary donations, please write “Easter Food Drive” on your offering envelope and place it in the offering plate. 

Choir Practice: Choir practice will resume this evening at 7:00p in the Prayer Chapel. Choir is open to anyone who is interested. You will be learning new songs to share with the congregation and also working on music for Easter. 

Volleyball: Open gym volleyball has started back up for the season. The CLC will be open on Monday evenings at 6:15p for anyone who would like to come out and play volleyball. For more information, please see Ray Knapp. 

March Madness: It’s coming! March Madness 2010 will be this Friday, March 19 beginning at 5:00p! Workers are needed for this evening. Come for a little while or stay the evening; either way you will be used. Donations may be left under the coat rack in the foyer and should be turned in no later than Wed., March 17. Please sign up on the clipboard in the vestibule by the elevator if you can help in any way. Questions? Call  Nancy McPherson at 330-847-6706.  

Women’s Ministry Meeting: Our next Women’ s Ministry Meeting will be this Saturday, March 20 at 2:00p in the banquet room here at the church. We are having a kitchen shower to benefit and refurbish our church kitchen! Further details will be announced and a list of most needed items will be provided. Hope you can join us! Benefit Spaghetti Dinner: A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held on Saturday, March 20 for Danny Dukes who was diagnosed with a brain tumor on February 13 to help them with medical expenses. The dinner will be held from 4:00-7:00p at the St. Demetrios Youth Center, 3223 Atlantic Ave. N.E., Warren, OH. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.00 for children 10 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling Nina Liptak at Willard School at (330) 392-3495.


Bible Study:  A Bible Study will be held at Pastor Glenn & Tricia’s home on Saturday March 20, from 7:00-9:00p.  All ages are welcome. The address is 5159 Craig Ave. N.W., Warren (Champion). Located between Glendola and Esther just down Craig from the church. If you would like, you may bring a snack or drink to share. Bring your Bible.  Pastor Glenn can be reached at 248-343-7112. 

Easter Egg Hunt: The annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children will be Saturday, April 3 from 11:00a-12:30p. Donations of wrapped candy are needed to fill our eggs. (No peanut butter, please!) There will be a light lunch served. Any questions, see Connie Young. 

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound: The “Renewed & Reloaded” Tour will be coming to the Willoughby Hills Friends Church on Thursday, April 8 at 7:00p. The church is located at 2846 S.O.M. Center Rd., Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. Ticket prices are $18 Groups (20+ & 2 free), $20 Advance ($25 at door), $25 Artist Circle. Festival of Joy: The 55 & Alive Group will be attending the Festival of Joy at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Thursday, April 29. The speaker will be Rev. Henry Spalding. The registration fee is $20 (which includes lunch) and must be postmarked by April 8. See Chuck Artman for more details. 

Walk for Life: Your Pregnancy Center 2010 Walk for Life will be Saturday, May 15, at Perkins Park in downtown Warren. Their goal is to raise $35,000. You can help them reach their goal by becoming a sponsored walker for this two-mile walk. You may visit their website at www.supportyourprc.com or call (330) 856-3616.


Church Fuel Update:  We would like to thank all of you for working with us in our efforts to bring our heating costs down this year. Praise the Lord we are making great strides! Please look at our savings figures that Jack Besse has provided for our October through February usage.
